What is Youth Volunteering?
• For 13 – 25 year olds and vulnerable adults in SW Hampshire (Southampton, Winchester, New Forest) and in Basingstoke and Dean • Helping young people to experience life outside the classroom and outside the urban environment. • The projects work with all interested individuals and groups (including organisations who work with young people e.g. Fairbridge Solent; Youth Offending Teams; Schools, Colleges). • John Muir Award (environmental award) can be attained or hours can contribute to other award schemes e.g. DoE, Vinspired etc. • Individuals and groups have contributed to over 9000 hours of volunteering since start of 2005.
