What is your relationship with Chief Akin Oshuntokun the former political advisor to President Obasanjo?
Akin is my closest friend. He is my confidant and brother and he is not only one of the most forthright, honest and courageous people that I know but he is also an excellent writer(he is a journalist and an author by profession) and one of the most promising and accomplished politicians in Nigeria today. My father and his were also close and they both served in Chief S.L Akintola’s government in the early 60’s as ministers and deputy premier respectively. So our two families have a tradition of friendship and proximity between one another. Akin was the person that actually introduced me to President Obasanjo and he also drafted me into the famous Progressive Action Movement but our relationship is not just about politics. It is much deeper than that and the fact is that we are more like brothers than friends.
