What is your personal experience taking Kava Kava?
I lived in Samoa for 4 years where they grow it and export it. I take it nearly every day in tea form. It certainly does give me the calming yet alert feeling. Some people have it stronger than others, and yet out of all the herbs I’ve tried for anxiety and stress, Kava is my favorite for the reasons it claims. Sleepiness does not arise for me unless I use more than 4 tea bags. Under 4 and I’m always very alert – usually MORE alert. It’s a thing to be used in moderation. Like other anxiety pills, at higher doses it’s an insomnia herb, so there is truly a balance. I usually take 1-2 tea bags per sitting, and that gives me a very relaxed calm that comes on gradually but starts immediately (you can even feel your lips numb as you take it.). There are warnings of liver toxicity at high doses, but you’ll be fine if you have no preexisting liver problems. I recommend it. I think it’s definitely worth a try.
