What is your opinion on toddler/young boys playing w/ toy guns?
My parents are Quakers and had a held a strict “no guns or violent games” policy for my entire childhood. While I never owned a toy gun I still found ways to get around this, whenever I would go to a friends house we would get in epic NERF battles, I would use Knex to make submachine guns, and I mastered the art of shooting rubber bands. During school recess me and my friends would play complex games involving various terrorist factions, the secret service that always ended up us running around shotting at each others with our guns (fingers). My parents ban had made it forbidden fruit and I would gorge myself on it any chance I could. Now I am 19 I still consider myself a pacifist but I enjoy video games, I played D&D and Magic:The Gathering, and I have assemble a collect of action movies that almost all involve gun play and unnecessary violence. What kids need to learn is that violence is wrong or that you should use your words to solve a disagreement not your fists. Flip out and yell
