What is your favorite Chicago-style deep dish pizza restaurant in Chicago?”
I went to Chicago earlier this year and I enlisted help from Askville to find out what everyone recommended. I also poked around the web, looked at sites that rate this kind of thing, and was essentially told by almost everyone that you HAVE to go to Giordano’s. Why? Well, because the pizza is essentially stuffed first of all, meaning that there’s cheese under the crust with sauce on top. So, I went to the flagship store which has been there over 30 years as essentially my first stop. Now on this trip, I tried a couple other places, Pizzaria Uno (which is really a chain now, you can get it a lot of places, so it’s kind of lost it’s “local” flavor) was one of the others, and the couple others I tried just didn’t stand out. The last time we went to Chicago we stumbled upon Gino’s East, and that was amazing, but this place…WOW!
