What is YAOI?
Yaoi is an acronym of the Japanese phrase yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi which translated from Japanese means “no climax , no punch line, no meaning,” or is shortened to, “no peak, no point, no problem.” Here in the English speaking world it’s come to mean any manga, comic, art, fanart, fiction, fanfiction, anime, dojinshi, shonen-ai or boys love content that has a male/male homosexual theme. However, the last two terms, boys’ love and shonen-ai, focus on romance and love instead of explicit or blatant sexuality.
