WHAT IS XRT (EXTENDED RUN TIME)?
The Sealegs Extended Run Time Option (XRT) is a commercial upgrade offered on Sealegs amphibious boats to increase the on land run time from 10 minutes to at least 30 minutes of continuous operation every hour on land at high ambient temperatures (40 degrees Celsius) Significant amount of research and development has gone into the Extended Run Time hydraulic and thermal engineering. Sealegs Product Engineers have designed the fitment of the additional components into the onboard engine box space. All additional XRT components have been evaluated and field tested to ensure that they are light weight and durable in a harsh marine environment. Note that operation of the hydraulic drive systems in flood waters uses the cooling effect of the flood waters and with the XRT upgrade allows continuous run time of up to 30 minutes every hour in the duty cycle.
