What is XHTML and why is it important?
XHTML stands for Extensible HyperText Markup Language which is a combination of XML and HTML. If you want your website to be interoperable with modern browsers going forward, it is recommended that your website be coded as XHTML. Interaria recommends coding and validating new websites to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C.org) XHTML 1.0 Strict standard. One of the goals with XHTML is to separate a Web page’s content from its styling.
