What is Wyvis House is it a residential or a nursing home ?
• A From April 2002 the distinction between residential homes and nursing homes ceased and all homes are now known as care homes. This doesn’t mean all care homes can look after all clients. Depending on the level of care that an individual requires determines which care service would be most suitable. Each case is assessed (by a social worker and also the care home) to make sure that each individuals needs can be met by the care home. Wyvis House will be able to meet needs from social care through to nursing care including those suffering from dementia.
