What is wrong with the bill passed by Congress and vetoed by Bush?
UFPJ opposed the compromise war funding bill passed by Congress because it does not end the war: • the bill pours another $100 BILLION into the war; • the bill allows the war and occupation to continue for at least another year; • the deadline for troop withdrawal was not firm, it was too long, and it allows the president to leave too many troops behind (as many as 60,000 non-combat troops could remain in Iraq after the deadline). • How much has this war cost us?
