What is wrong with the American education system?
Karl Z: If we were British, that might be a problem, BUT, seeing as how we are Americans, it would be improper for us to use MUM instead of MOM and COLOUR instead of COLOR. Our writing is not wrong… it’s just a different dialect. That is why when you speak English, you have to address it American-English, British-English, or Australian-English. Please get your facts straight as we are not a part of Britain anymore… And the problem with the American education system is exactly how someone else put it. There’s uneven and unfair money distribution. Some schools can barely pay for updated textbooks while some of the rich are enjoying tax cuts. There are a lot of things wrong actually, but it depends on your local education system… [Edit] k: American children only start a year after at about 5… and we are legally allowed to leave at 16 as well.
