What is wrong with normal old fashioned names for babies that people recognise?!?!?!?
There are some lovely old-fashioned names! A few years ago I read somewhere that the “older names” were coming back in vogue. I used to work in a Secondary School as the Exams Officer and one of my duties was to enter pupils for their GCSEs. Couldn’t believe my eyes one year, one of the pupils’ fornames were Skye Bleu – yep really!!
I always have this vision of someone with an unusual name like Apple or Sky, even Britney and Paris, of when they become old and maybe living in a nursing home and some nurse saying ‘ Ok Apple its time for the commode’. Just doesn’t ring the same as ‘Ethel’ or ‘George’. But then i guess that nursing home will be full odd (to us) names by that stage.
