What is wrong with my pet rat!?
I wouldn’t worry about size or smell, as male rats tend to smell a bit more, and rats come in all different sizes, just as humans do. If Hunter is smaller as in skinnier or thinner, then I would put him on some fattening foods like sunflower seeds. I cannot stress the fact enough that you should TAKE HUNTER TO THE VET! It sounds like he has some sort of rat flu, and at all costs you should get him on some sort of medication to make him feel better. If you can’t take him to the vet in a small travel cage or something, then take yourself and explain the symptoms, or have him checked on by a vet at a pet shop like the little vet shops they have at Petco and stuff.
