What Is Wrong With My Cat She Is Drinking Alot But Not Eating?
I had the same problem about a month ago and attributed it to the extreme heat wave we were having. I let the cat go for a week only to find out he had a serious bite wound that had gotten infested with maggots. I had to take him to the vet and he spent a week on IVs for antibiotics and severe dehydration. Do not let your cat go. Take him/her into the vet and get them checked right away. I was lucky and saved my pet’s life after a week of thinking only the heat was affecting him. The first sign of dehydration is “if you pull the skin up behind the back of the neck and it stays up…get him/her to the vet immediately.” Drinking alot still doesn’t prevent them from getting dehydrated. My cat lost over 10 lbs in one week’s time. He would have died had I not gotten him into the vet after discovering the puncture wounds filled with maggots. (I thought he had diarrhea and tried to wash off his tail when I discovered the puncture wounds and maggots.) It took me over 45 minutes to kill the mag
