What is wrong with my cat? Is she depressed or sick?
I am applying a little cat psychology here so bear with me. If she went to the wrong side of the tracks she might have gotten attacked and ‘pounced on from behind’ if you know I mean. She may be traumatized and her little voice box is sore from screaming. Take her back to the vet to see if she’s pregnant. And if she’s sitting in your closet on top of clothes she might be ‘nesting’ or she might be truly depressed. When my kitty gets depressed she doesn’t eat and goes to my dark closet. Try hand feeding her with meow mix soft treats. Pet her gently while she’s lying in the closet. Try combing her with a soft comb so she gets the idea that she can groom herself.
