What is wrong with his neck?
At Summerslam! ’97 Austin had an match with the late Owen Hart for the Intercontinental title. During the match Hart exucuted a ‘piledriver’ incorrectly which caused Austin to be temporarily paralysed. Austin managed to get up and win the match and the title. He still is not fully re-covered and has made Vince enforce a rule saying that NO wrestlers are to execute piledrivers on him. Leading up to Survivor Series 1999 Austin began to complain of pain in his neck. Not wanting to lose ratings for the big event, the WWF advertised Austin as being in a 3-way match for the WWF title along with HHH and The Rock. During the event footage was shown of Austin outside the arena. A limo reved up and ran him down. The WWF now had an excuse for Austin bein out for so long. The Big Show replaced Austin in the title match and won the championship.
