What is worse – Being promiscuous or drink driving?
I think it’s partly down to changed times tbh. If Tony Adams were up for captaincy now and had been caught drink driving – there would probably be a back-lash against him. However, it does sometimes seem as if we’re coming over all American in this country ie – the worst scandles of all are married high profile people coping off with each other. As you say – big deal. It’s Mrs Terry’s issue, not ours. If only the media would back off, it wouldn’t matter a bit. My only issue with his continued captaincy is that it represents something & should only be given to those who are outstanding on the pitch and are exemplary off the pitch. He should have done a Beckham and kept a “no comment” stance. I mean – if we are not allowed to have men who have strayed as English captain – erm – we’re going to be a bit hard pushed aren’t we…!
