What is Wormy / Wormed Wood?
: A Wormed Wood is a wood that was infested by worms during some stage in it’s development, and then later survived to grow to full maturity. The effect of the worms is either a pock mark type of effect on the wood somewhat like a knot but without any sort of ring around it or a long dark mark corresponding to the length of each worm. Which effect you get is entirely dependent on how the wood was cut. Wood can be both Burl and Wormy.
