What is Workplace Violence Prevention and Response?
This course is designed to instruct all OHSU employees to prevent workplace and/or clinical violence and how to respond when such violence occurs. This training fulfills the regulatory requirements for ORS 654.414, covering general and personal safety procedures, escalation cycles, factors that predict assaultive behaviors, verbal and non-verbal ways to de-escalate and minimize assaultive behavior and provides strategies to help the employee to avoid physical harm.
