There are many types of contract. An employment contract means that you and your employer have an agreement as to salary, title, how long you’ll be employed, etc. Employment contracts can be renewed at the end of their term, and they can be terminated by either party. A freelance contract may just say that you’ll be paid so much money to do a particular piece of work by a specified date.
