What is Women’s History? Tuesday March 9, 2004What were women doing during all those events — wars, political struggles — usually described in history books? Because history has been more about public events, and the assumption was that women’s role was to be exercised in the privacy of the home, not many women’s lives are visible in the history books. (Not the lives of many of the men, either … but that’s another topic.)
