Any duties pertaining to the child are within the job description of the nanny. These may include the following: • Looking out for the overall well-being of the children. Fostering a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for the children. • Participate in age-appropriate activities with the children. (playing inside, outside, games, reading, riding bikes, taking walks, etc.). • Read age-appropriate books with the children. • Monitor and assist with homework assignments. • Cook nutritious meals and prepare nutritious snacks for the children. • Daily clean the children’s room, playroom, bathroom, etc. • Assist with bathing, dressing, and other personal hygiene routines. • Launder the children’s clothes. • Purchase necessary supplies for the children, per parent’s request. • Transport children when needed by nanny’s car or family’s car. • Plan and carry out play dates.
