What is with the cartoons?
When I was involved in my first campaign in 2002, I decided that it would be fun to show my qualifications through a series of cartoons. My mother, Helen Hurt Eckelkamp, who is a talented artist, drew 24 original cartoons to use in my campaign. I love these cartoons and have placed an example of each in a collage which is hanging in my judicial chambers at the courthouse in Franklin County. They are recreated here for your edification and enjoyment. I look at these often and strive to exemplify each quality each day as I execute the duties of my office.
