What is Wireless@SG?
Wireless@SG is Singapore’s new wireless broadband program that aims to extend broadband access beyond the homes, offices and schools to public places. It is part of the Intelligent Nation 2015 (iN2015) ten-year masterplan to develop Singapore’s Next Generation National Infocomm Infrastructure. From December 2006, you get to enjoy three years of FREE (basic tier) wireless connectivity at surfing speeds of up to 512kbps in key public locations in Singapore. Provided by three local wireless operators – iCELL Network, QMax Communications and SingTel – this free Wi-Fi basic tier* access is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What’s more, usage is unlimited, so you can log on anytime, for as long as you want.
