What is Wireless Internet?
A. Our High Speed Internet through wireless technologies is classified as low-latency, broadband internet service much like cable internet through the local cable company or DSL via a telephone line. The difference is the way the signal is provided to your location. Instead of the signal reaching you via a copper conductor through a wired infrastructure, our signal is delivered to your location via radio frequency spectrum. The signal is “recieved” from our remote transmitters with what’s simply called, a “reciever”. Typically, this reciever is mounted outside of your home. From the reciever a cable is ran to the inside of your home into your computer or home network. Q. Can I just use a laptop? A. Our service is sold as a “fixed” wireless service, not a “mobile” or “roaming” service. Those services are typically associated with high-latency, high compression internet service provided over cellular technologies.
