What is WIM?
The WIM, i.e. Wireless Identity Module, is a security module on the handset, which is used for authentication. Its main function is to enable digital signatures. WIM functionalities are based on WPKI (Wireless Public Key Infrastructure). Wireless PKI covers the infrastructure and the procedures required to enable the trust provisioning needed for authentication and digital signatures for servers and clients.
