What is Wheat Exports Australia and what does it do?

0

Wheat Exports Australia (WEA) replaced the Export Wheat Commission (EWC) on 1 July 2008, following changes to Australia’s wheat export arrangements. WEA regulates the export of bulk wheat from Australia by managing the Wheat Export Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme). Under the Scheme, WEA has the power to grant, suspend, cancel or vary accreditations. It also has monitoring and enforcement responsibilities to ensure accredited exporters are complying with the conditions of their accreditation.
