What is water lift?

• Water lift is also referred to as static lift or inches of water. The vacuum cleaner industry uses inches of water lift to measure the vacuum force. This means that if you stick a tube in a bucket of water and hook a vac motor to the other end and turn it on, it will suck a column of water “x” inches high. Thus the term water lift.
