What is VoxCLOUD?
VoxCLOUD is an Internet-scale cloud computing platform delivered out of Voxel server farms in New York, Amsterdam and Singapore. VoxCLOUD eliminates the need for up-front capital-intensive purchases, and enables customers to quickly and easily scale the most intensive of their Internet applications. It is the first platform that is based on completely open standards, avoiding ‘cloud lock in’ of any sort, and allowing customers to mix and match cloud and traditional infrastructure to create a best of breed hybrid deployment. First unveiled to existing customers as the ‘SilverLining Technology Preview’ in February 2009, it was rebranded as VoxCLOUD coinciding with the products public beta on October 1 2009.
