What is voodoo and voodoo dolls?
Voodoo is an ancient shamanistic practice where a shaman (witch doctor) makes a doll which is a personification of a particular person. The might do such things as weave some of that person’s hair into the doll or some such. The end result is a doll which can be used to affect that person (apparently) usually it is done to cause that person harm. Voodoo itself is linked with witch doctor magic which relies on calling on the spirits, animal or human to aid them. Some countries like Papa New Guinea still have shaman who practice voodoo and are greatly feared.
