What is Voice Dialogue?
Voice Dialogue facilitation is a method of self-discovery developed by Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone. It is based on the theory that a person is a multifaceted personality made up of “parts” that have their own feelings, ideas, concerns, desires, and energy patterns. Voice Dialogue is an interview process that helps people contact various parts of themselves, hear what they have to say and gain consciousness about their energies. This awareness assists the development of the Aware Ego (which we call Centered Consciousness). Through Centered Consciousness, a person has infinite choice and can purposefully bring the most helpful energies into specific situations. In Voice Dialogue people learn that all these parts developed in support of their survival. By having the parts be heard, honored and understood, the person becomes capable of considering multiple possibilities instead of being stuck, or tugged in competing directions.
