What is VMCAS?
VMCAS, or the Veterinary Medical College Application Service, was created in 1995 by the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). It is an on-line, electronic, centralized application service used by the majority of veterinary schools in the United States. In the U.S., the three veterinary schools currently using alternative application systems are Tufts, Tuskeegee, and Texas A & M (the three Ts). The VMCAS application is available through the following website: https://portal.vmcas.org/. The application portal is live from June to October (deadline date).
