VisiTransact is Borland’s implementation of the CORBA OTS (Object Transaction Service) specification produced by the OMG (Object management Group). VisTransact 6.0 implementation is compliant with version 1.1 of the OTS specification. VisiTransact is a Transaction Manager, runs in its own process space, and implements the 2-phase commit XA protocol required for distributed transactions. It is shipped with Borland Enterprise Server (BES) 5.2.1 as ‘2PC Transaction Service’, while in BES 6.0/6.5 it appears simply as ‘Ots’.
