What is Virtual Network Computing (VNC)?
Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a program which allows you to remotely access the desktop of another computer over a network. VNC is available for a variety of platforms, ranging from cellular phones to minicomputers. Originally developed by Olivetti Research (which became a part of AT&T Research), it was transferred to the original developers who founded RealVNC to extend and support it.
