Rapid optimization prototyping leveraged by a broad knowledge base of pre-built meta engineering components will dramatically reduce the cost of product development to the extent that anything beyond ad-hoc, one-of-a-kind applications can be profitably distributed even at very low demand densities. Moreover, service companies will specialize in proto software marketing, whereby common core software functionality that is too usage-diversified to be distributed as products, can be rapidly tailored to individual client needs at low cost.
