What is verbal intimacy skills?
Verbal Intimacy has several components. First you have to know yourself your likes and dislikes and be comfortable assessing how you feel and expressing it. Second It requires social aptitude, that being you must be able to size up the person with which you intend to communicate. This means you understand body language and tone within a conversation and can deliver your intended message catering to this person. Third one must understand what and how and when to say things to created the intended intimacy. Tone of voice, timing, and a focused message it critical to developing intimacy. Verbal intimacy involves self disclosure ie. talking about how you feel in the moment, what you think (opinions), what you need, what you wish for, how your day goes, what is important to you, how the person you care about is making you feel happy and content. And lastly intimacy should never judge or be critical. People will feel closer to you if you can accept them for who and what they in that moment.
