What is vegetable propagation?

You mean vegative propagation. Propagation means, making more plants. I do this all the time. Instead of getting new plants from seeds, you can cut a a part from an existing plant, and get a new plant from it. On example of this is rooting cuttings. You a short branch of a plant, and place rooting hormones on the cut end and place it in a moist growing medium and it will grow roots and become a new plant. Another example is when a bamboo plant sends out roots called runners. These roots wiil grow into a new plant. Another type of vegetative propagation is don in laboratories. A sterile cell from a parent plant is place in a growing medium. Hormones are added to start it to grow. Thousand of plants can be made this way.
