What is VCIS?
VCIS allows callers to access limited information about a case (i.e., the debtor’s name and address, the case number, the judge assigned, the date of filing, the chapter under which relief was sought, the identity and phone number of the debtor’s attorney, the identity and phone number of the trustee appointed in the case, whether there are assets, and case status (such as awaiting creditor meeting, discharge date or closure). This service is free of charge and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from any touch tone telephone by calling toll-free at 1-800-891-6741 or locally at 918-5555.
