VAT is tax provided by law. VAT is added to the price of goods and to the services. There is a reduced rate 5% for hotel services currently. Basic rate 19% concern about alcoholic drinks or cigarettes for example. Foodstuffs are mostly in 5% tariff. Some of smaller hotels are not taxpayers.
