What is “vaporware”?
Vaporware is a software or hardware announcement, describing a product which is not currently available. Generally speaking, this is just misinformation, designed to discourage you from buying a competing product. PowerBASIC believes that most Vaporware is harmful to everyone concerned. While we occasionally confirm the existence of a development project, we have a firm policy prohibiting the advance release of product details, pricing, and ship dates. Everyone in the software industry knows that ongoing product development usually requires a change in plan, features, investment, and time to market. Even with the best of intentions, the final product is often radically different from the initial concept. Were we to publish our first ideas, many would use these as projections to form important business decisions. Even when there is no assurance they will actually be completed. PowerBASIC has a long history of delivering stable, state-of-the-art software. We will continue that tradition
