What is United Way doing to ensure that my donation is managed efficiently?
United Way’s all-volunteer board of directors and finance committee actively review the policies of this organization to ensure the most efficient management of donor contributions. Several members of the board of directors and finance committee are CPAs, and all members are well versed in accounting, finance and internal control. The finance committee is very active and meets monthly to review the finances of the organization. The group employs an external auditor with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector.
