What is unique about the Baby Boom population?
Baby Boomers are a talented, experienced group with a rich history. More than 20% of them possess a B.A. degree. Their work ethic is admirable. Workers over the age of 50 have a turnover rate that is 1/10th of that of workers under the age of 30. As a group, they are not ‘finished’ working, they are ‘bored’. They have been doing what they do for a very long time. Many report that they want to do work that is personally fulfilling, work that makes a difference in the world. Many wish to reduce the frenetic pace they have set for themselves, but they do not wish to drop out. Many are willing to swap the big money which they have made, for work that has meaning at this point in their lives, for a lifestyle that is balanced.
