What is Ulteo Virtual Desktop?
This solution looks and feels like it is integrated directly into your host Windows operating system, but that isn’t quite the truth. In reality, it is a combination of a custom Ubuntu operating system that is running with the assistance of coLinux (http://www.colinux.org), a port of the Linux kernel that runs along side another operating system. While this provides the core OS, the rest of the magic is handled by Xming, an X display manager that connects to the coLinux backend and allows you to view the applications as if they were really part of Windows. While performing this trick is not new, Ulteo packages it nicely into a program that installs quickly and runs smoothly.
