UB continues to take important steps to enhance public safety and give us faster, broader reach to our community: – Enhanced alert mechanisms including Emergency Text messaging and expanded public address systems – Adding Emergency blue light phones – Enhanced coordination with local, state and national response networks – Increased surveillance and prevention – Extended residential door locking hours – Safety reviews of all buildings – Increased police visibility – Upgraded campus lighting – Increased cameras and other surveillance tools – Comprehensive emergency planning
