What is Turner Parson syndrome?
Parsonage-Turner Syndrome – AKA brachial plexus neuritis, inflammation of the nerves that supply the shoulders, arms and hands of unknown cause, though has been associated with bacterial and viral infections and trauma. You can get sudden, severe pain around the shoulder that may radiate down to the elbow and last a couple of days. Pain can last a few hours to a few weeks and may be associated with muscle weakening and loss of bulk. As pain lessens, paralysis may occur with the arm being weak and may show twitching or fine tremours. Occupational and physio-therapy are recommended as medication is not very successful. Recovery is usually spontaneous (often within a few months) and complete.
