TurboTCP prioritizes TCP ACK (Acknowledgement) packets ahead of the other general upstream traffic. This prioritization usually improves downstream TCP/FTP/HTTP transfers during high bandwidth, packet intensive activities such as streaming audio and video, gaming, filesharing, etc. Most folks recommend that you enable TurboTCP if the option is available on your specific router.
