What is true aromatherapy?
It was a French chemist by the name of Ren-Maurice Gattefoss who first coined the actual modern term aromathrapie in 1937 from his scientific findings of the therapeutic properties of essential oils. Essential oils are well noted for their balancing, harmonizing, normalizing, and regenerative effects upon the body which is why true aromatherapy continues as an art and science of using aromatic essences from plants to promote better health in mind, body, and spirit. True aromatherapy is not the use of synthetic aromas, potpourri, or commercially common scented candles or soaps. Although they may smell nice for a short while, they have either minimal or no therapeutic power, no interaction with the human body on a cellular level, and synthetics of which may cause adverse affects. True aromatherapy uses 100% natural high quality ingredients for optimal effectiveness.
