What is trolling in Minecraft?
Trolling in Minecraft is considered a type of griefing and is frowned upon by most members of the community. Trolls are people who find a need to annoy people unnecessarily and cause dispute amongst the Minecraft community. There are several ways in which trolling can occur in Minecraft these can include:
1.Killing another player and then throwing their diamond pickaxe into lava whilst they are watching. The difficulty of obtaining the diamond pickaxe is what causes the turmoil in this situation.
2.Spamming is also considered an act of a troll due to the annoyance it causes to all the other players.
3.Another example would be the increase in people “promising” to gift other players with items and the failing to carry out what the said they intended to, this really causes aggravation amongst the younger audience due to their increased vulnerability to being more trusting of strangers in essence.
These are the three main acts of trolling within the Minecraft community and unfortunately these actions cannot be blocked however they can easily be noticed. The best solution would be to inform the server admin and explain the situation and they will more than likely receive a ban though usually, a firm warning is effective though for more serious examples of trolling a ban would be recommended as a deterrent for other people to follow in their actions more than anything else.
