What is treatment of gallbladder disease in pregnancy?

0

Shelly, It is not uncommon. I have had gallbladder attacks for years, and since I was young (attacks started at age 9), all the doctors shrugged it off. Thus, I diagnosed myself just some months ago. I am now 16 weeks pregnant (and 20 years old) and since becoming pregnant it seems any little thing has been triggering attacks. I guess it is due to hormone levels on the rise? Tomorrow I have an appointment with my OB and a gallbladder specialist. I am sure it is coming out soon, within the week, since the attacks are becoming so bad to the point where I feel like I’m dying. Good luck to you. If it gets bad, make sure to get an ultrasound on your gallbladder to see if you have gallstones. They did this for me a week ago and discovered a load of stones.
