What is trazadone used for?
I am currently using Trazadone (prescibed by my doctor) as a sleep aid. My doctor had me on Ambien for a month or so and then he said that he does not like to prescribe Ambien for long periods of time, so he put me on 2 – 50mg tablets of Trazadone to take at bedtime. At first I thought what a waste, but it actually works for me and works well. Whether its addictive or not, I am not sure as I have not tried to stop using it, as I truly have problems falling asleep at night. One of the reasons he put me on it, is because I told him my mind races at 1000mph at night and I can’t seem to slow it down and unwind. It is probably not labled as a “sleeping aid” but in my case it works and works well for just that.
